Join Team Blue Ridge

We’re looking for ambassadors for The Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon!

We are looking for runners with heart and creativity from all over the country to join our team. If you love hard races, seeing others succeed, running and partying and meeting new people… then we want you on our team!

The 2025 Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon (BRM) ambassador team will be a small group of athletes on a mission to bring new runners to America’s Toughest Road Races. Ambassadors will run other races, visit group runs, post on social media, and work together to reach new runners on a personal level. To support this mission, we’re offering cash incentives (starting at $150), free race entries, and some high-quality swag.

This is an incredible way to represent a welcoming community of challenge-seekers and have a season of running adventures in the spirit of BRM.

Race Ambassador Requirements

• Ambassadors will choose:
  • A race to run as a BRM representative (wearing BRM swag, ready to talk about BRM)
    • The race must be a distance of 10k+, happen before April 1st, and be more than 50 miles from Roanoke, VA
  • Three or more group runs to visit/run as a BRM representative
    • Must take place more than 10 miles from Roanoke, VA
• In addition, Ambassadors will
  • Post monthly to BRM social media accounts (can be in collaboration with ambassador’s own account)
  • Meet monthly (~7 meetings total) with the ambassador team and work together to find new runners
  • Assist with additional projects from time-to-time as they come up

Race Ambassador Perks

• • A free entry to your chosen distance at the Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon weekend on April 12 (except the Full GOAT)
  • Free entry to America’s Slowest 5K presented by Altra
  • BRM will pay for your entry at your chosen fall/winter race (10K+, more than 50 miles from Roanoke, VA)
  • BRM will pay you $50 per group run you attend
  • BRM will pay you $5 per new runner who you get to register for the Blue Ridge Marathon (50 verified new runners = $250 in your pocket!)
  • Additional swag and race merch to outfit you for your races and group runs

Application Process

• • Who can apply? Anyone. You do not have to have run this race before; you do not have to be fast; you do not have to look a certain way, or be a certain age. You just have to be able to run up mountains and be really excited about getting other folks to do it, too. You should probably also be comfortable showing your face on social media 🙂
  • Film a brief and entertaining introduction video of yourself. Include what you love most about running up mountains. (Please film in vertical 9:16 aspect ratio. Think: reels/stories)
  • Fill out the application and upload your video by August 18th
  • Decisions will be made before September 12th
